HAND KNOTTED RUGS
This is the most ancient weaving technique for creating hand knotted carpets. A knotted-pile carpet which has raised surfaces or piles formed by the cutoff ends of knots are woven between the warp and weft.
The width and number of warp and weft, pile height, knots used, and knot density all have an impact on the hand knotted carpets. Most of the hand knotted carpets will be washed which gives them a plush and softer hand feel. These rugs are usually made from wool, but they can be also made from other materials like silk or cotton
