200 Years of Bhavani Handloom weaving heritage
Bhavani - a small town in Tamilnadu state (INDIA) has its own story of rich and long heritage in Handloom weaving. The thick dhurrie type flatweave material made with Cotton and Artsilk yarns are Called "JAMAKKALAM" The town earned its name "Carpet City" for the mass production of Carpets. The Government of India recognized our Jamakkalm as Geographical Indication (GI) tag product. This recognition, officially in 2005-06, acknowledges its unique cultural and regional significance.
